The Steve Walker Band has been the featured entertainment aboard the Tahoe Queen for over twenty-five years. This energetic trio consists of Steve Walker on guitar and keyboard, Charlie Schofield on bass, and Eric Hellberg on drums. Each member also contributes lead and harmony vocals. Over the years, the band has developed a special expertise in catering to the musical and entertainment needs of virtually any age group or type of audience and are equally adept at pleasing a dancing crowd, a listening crowd, or an audience that just wants to sit back and be entertained. Not many bands can sooth a group of senior citizens with music from the forties one night, then turn around and rock out a group of wild middle-schoolers the next.

Steve Walker has over forty years experience on stage and specializes in the romantic ballads of all eras, keeping up with the latest and most requested wedding and anniversary songs. Steve is a natural showman and performs entertaining take-offs of Elvis Presley, James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Willie Nelson, and others.

Charlie Schofield, a truly amazing bass player, has joined the band on a full-time basis, after having played with Steve on the boat and at local casinos at various times over the years. Charlie is a seasoned pro, having performed with many local and touring rock, jazz, and fusion bands.

And, finally, the man who holds down the beat and helps create the great rhythmic excitement that the band is known for, is Eric Hellberg. This multi-talented pro studied percussion at San Francisco State University and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. Eric sings, plays drums and harmonica, does music production, studio and commercial work, and is an eleven year veteran of the fantastic Danny Marona Show. His many other credits include the Glen Williams Show and a stint with the major production show Red Hot Country at the Reno Hilton showroom.

It’s obvious when you see the Steve Walker Band perform that these are three good friends who love what they're doing and are having a great time doing it! Invariably this results in the passengers having a great time and always creates a memorable cruising experience aboard the Tahoe Queen.
